Ethereum Push Notification Service, or EPNS, a decentralized notification protocol, has raised $10.1 million in a Series A funding round led by Jump Crypto, the Jump Trading’s crypto arm.
The round also saw participation from Tiger Global, ParaFi, Sino Global Capital, Polygon Studios, and Harmony Foundation, and more. The latest funding would push the protocol’s total valuation to $131 million, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
Founded by Harsh Rajat and Richa Joshi, Ethereum Push Notification Service is a decentralized notification protocol that allows decentralized applications to send permissionless channel notifications and subscriptions on mobile and web platforms.
Users who have subscribed to EPNS receive important updates, events, actions, and more, while also earning rewards through notifications. EPNS claims to have sent more than 4 million push notifications to over 44,000 subscribers.
“As Web 3 power users, Sino Global Capital faces the difficulty of monitoring numerous DeFi, gaming and governance platforms and proposals,” said Sino Global Capital CEO Matthew Graham in a statement, cited by Coindesk. “EPNS solves a huge pain point for us and fellow Web 3 product users by creating and consolidating notifications into an easy-to-use dashboard with fantastic UI/UX.”
